About ROCKFISH

This 1980 Ocean Alexander Mark 1 is hull number 37 of 98 vessels manufactured from 1978 to 1984. She was designed by Seattle marine architect Ed Monk Jr. and built in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. ROCKFISH's semi-displacement hull was solidly hand-laminated using roving, mat and gelcoat.

In 1993, Ocean Alexander Marine Center added a 3 foot hull extension swim step which was designed by Mr. Monk. In 2003, two new John Deere diesels replaced the original engines, giving ROCKFISH outstanding reliability and economy (1400 RPM=9 knots=3.8 GPH).

We bought ROCKFISH from the original owner in March of 2005, brought her up-to-date with many special features, and made her available for bareboat charters thru San Juan Yachting in Bellingham, WA.

ROCKFISH is available for bareboat charters throughout the year. You can spend a week in the San Juans and Gulf Islands, or you can go north to Desolation Sound or beyond for two weeks or more. You can also go to Alaska. If your schedule is tight and you prefer a one-way charter we can meet you and bring her back or deliver her to your chosen cruising area.

Check out the Adventure Charters NW web page for more details and charter rates.
